I so enjoyed this book of short stories that I am reading it again. I have it on my Kindle and I have a hard copy. I enjoyed it so much that I have bought and given to my Grand Children to read and have lint my book to a few others. What I like most is that the Author brings you to the end of the short tale and lets you dream up your own ending, and believe me there lots of scenarios that the ending could. Quite ingenious on the Authors part. I look forward to more books written by David Rothmiller.Product details

Child-friendly creepy things will delight kids the whole way through. The author knows the things children naturally find funny, making this darling book a keeper. You will want an extra to save for the grandchildren, because your first copy will be worn out. Absolutely unique and original stuff!
It doesn't matter if you're nine or a hundred and nine you will love this book! The author has a gift, a way of inhabiting the skin of the characters he's writing about and their world comes alive and breathes. This is a book to take camping to read by flashlight in the tent or around the campfire, or simply curl up on a rainy night and let the yarns give you the goosebumps. I loved each and every story and I know you will too. Great gift for those tweens in your life, but be sure to keep a copy for yourself!
Though written for younger readers, this older reader thoroughly enjoyed each one of the short stories. I will never think about eating pizza quite the same! I read the book imagining how my nephew would react to the stories - he would love it - so, he's getting a copy for his upcoming birthday.

What a delightfully scary & creepy book this is. I couldn't put it down. The author has a wonderful way with words and creating pictures that you may never get out of your head!
Enjoyed this book of creepy life lessons. I ordered a copy for an upcoming Halloween Party, based on the title alone. Started thumbing though it, and an hour later found myself in my comfy reading chair, with a cup of cocoa, reading with page-turning enthusiasm. David Rothmiller is a great story teller. These Curious Shorts are great for kids, and the kid in all of us.
Quirky new ghost stories with a spiritual twist. I loved certain references and perspectives of the stories because I grew up in the same area as the author. I felt comfortable and trusted the author in taking my mind to different places because I felt like I knew the author and cared about him. I have read many R.L. Stein books with my kids and I would love to treat my nephew and nieces to Curious Shorts especially around a campfire at night in the woods! It's great for Halloween and anytime you want to feel scared!
